Legal & usage notice
Independent status
FortiPath is an independent, unofficial community project. It is not sponsored, endorsed, authorized, or maintained by Fortinet, Inc. No affiliation, partnership, reseller, support, or certification relationship is implied.
Trademarks
“Fortinet”, “FortiGate”, “FortiOS”, and other product names are trademarks or registered trademarks of Fortinet, Inc. or their respective owners. They are used only to identify compatibility and the subject of this reference tool. FortiPath does not use Fortinet logos or branding and claims no ownership in those marks.
Documentation and sources
Command names and syntax are presented as a compatibility reference and linked to the Fortinet Documentation Library. Fortinet’s own legal notice says its website materials are protected by copyright and that copying is limited; this project therefore avoids reproducing full Fortinet documentation pages and directs users to the original source. Do not upload or redistribute Fortinet PDFs or copied documentation through this site without reviewing the applicable permission and license.
No license or patent clearance
This site grants no license under any Fortinet or third-party patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, or other intellectual-property right. A command reference is not a patent or freedom-to-operate opinion. If you plan to commercialize, monetize, white-label, or substantially reproduce Fortinet materials, obtain advice from a qualified lawyer and, where appropriate, written permission from Fortinet.
Accuracy and operational risk
Availability and behavior can vary by FortiOS release, model, hardware, feature set, license, VDOM, permissions, HA state, and configuration. Verify commands with ? and tree on the target appliance, read the linked official documentation, back up configuration, and use appropriate maintenance procedures. Low-level or device-observed commands may be undocumented, unsupported, or disruptive.
FortiPath is provided “as is”, without Fortinet support or warranty. The author is not responsible for outage, data loss, configuration changes, security impact, or other consequences arising from use of the reference or commands.
Privacy and local processing
Search and builder inputs are processed in this browser. FortiPath application code does not send them to an application service, use analytics, set cookies, or save favorites or inputs in browser storage. Copy writes to your clipboard only when you request it; browser permissions may prevent copying.
Pages and static assets are requested from the hosting provider, which may keep access logs. The selected product is part of the page path. Current share links store source release, CLI context and command selection in the URL fragment after #, which browsers do not send in HTTP requests; selections remain visible in shared URLs and browser history. Legacy query-string links may reach hosting logs before the browser converts them locally. Parameter values are not included by the application. Avoid entering secrets in searches or sharing sensitive URLs.
Explorer and directory pages request Google Fonts styles and font files from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. These requests expose network and browser information to Google. This site is not offline-only. Official documentation links open external sites under their own privacy policies; they use noreferrer. Your browser may cache downloaded assets.
Corrections, support and takedown
For corrections or takedown requests, contact info@fortipath.com, the operator address listed in the platform directory. Include the page URL, product, source variant and locator, expected behavior and a sanitized reproduction. Never include credentials, private captures or identifying appliance output. Mailbox delivery has not been verified in this local release review. FortiPath does not provide Fortinet support; use your official support entitlement for appliance incidents. Keep official source links and notices intact.
